| Proposed Analysis: | Recently we found that polygenic risk score (PRS) of Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD) was associated with fast cognitive decline in MCI and AD patients, in a cohort collected in Ruijin Hospital (Shanghai, China). Imaging genetics study was also performed. Interestingly, we revealed an interaction between PDD PRS and structural changes (e.g. gray matter atrophy, cortex atrophy) in AD, indicating that this 2 diseases might share common underlying mechanisms. However, we did not perform longitudinal MRI. The sample size of our cohort is also limited. Therefore, we would like to further validate our findings in the ADNI dataset. |
