Proposed Analysis: | Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative illness that is the most common cause of dementia in older adults. Many biological pathways involved in AD can be shared between AD and normal aging. In this study, we take a novel approach to identify and prioritize neurodegenerative biomarkers for AD and try to improve our understanding of the shared imaging and genetic biomarkers between aging and AD, and as result suggest new brain imaging and genetic targets for AD prevention/treatment. Longitudinal imaging data from ADNI will be preferred to understand individual change trajectories of brain in AD and aging. |
