Proposed Analysis: | I am working with Dr Les Shaw to measure phospho-tau181 in plasma samples from AD/MCI/NC cases. We have proposed a pilot study to measure p-tau181 on the Quanterix SiMoA platform as a validation of a ptau measurements we have already conducted in the UPenn ADRC cohort. We will first evaluate the performance of a plasma p-tau cut point derived from an AD pathology confirmed cohort at UPenn, in clinically-diagnosed AD (50), MCI/PET+(35), MCI/PET-(35), Normal/PET+(35), and Normal/PET-(35) cases. We will subsequently evaluate the performance of the cut point as a predictor for longitudinal cognitive and functional decline among these groups. |
