| Proposed Analysis: | we hypothesized that concrete and unknown pairwise interactions of AD-related genetic risk variants may have the potential to better explain genetic differences between AD individuals and controls, rather than the sum of risk variants by itself as PRS does. To test our hypothesis, different statistical test in the Belgian cohort to search for these possible gene-gene combinations that better correlate with the control-case distribution. However, this approach has clearly a limitation in the statistical power of our results, since some of the relevant combinations we are finding have poor reproducibility along the dataset. For this reason, we are interested in expanding our analysis to larger case-controls cohorts, in order to confirm the combinations we are finding and explore further gene-gene combinations absence in our dataset. |
