| Proposed Analysis: | Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is defined as a transitional stage between age-related cognitive decline and AD, which is the earliest clinically detectable stage of progression towards dementia or AD. MCI patients who later convert to AD are considered to have progressive MCI (pMCI).
