Proposed Analysis: | Employ disease labelled dataset to develop and test new methods of volumetric segmentation using neural networks to accurately discriminate between CN, AD and MCI groups. This is motivated by the need to develop faster, more accurate tools to extract biomarker endpoints for clinical trials with improved sensitivity to disease progression and intervention efficacy. Specifically I will concentrate on developing a frame work for performing regional segmentations using a Neural Network framework that maximizes the group differences in the ADNI population for the medial temporal lobe. Additionally i will investigate the applicability of Hippocampul sub-field segmentation on MPRAGE T1W images using models trained on Hi-RES T2W hippocampus segmentation for development of enhanced clinical tools. |
