Proposed Analysis: | Our current main focus is/was single-cell analysis of various omics flavors and developing corresponding analysis methods. Inspired by the increasing availability of EHR data we've developed ehrapy (https://github.com/theislab/ehrapy/), a framework for the exploratory analysis of EHR data. Similar to our extremely popular Scanpy framework for single-cell data it includes generalized steps for the preprocessing and embedding of EHR data. To proof that our novel approaches lead to high quality analysis I need access to high quality EHR datasets such as the ADNI dataset. The goal is on a high level: 1. To preprocess (quality control, normalization, feature selection, [...] the ADNI EHR data 2. Embed it into a space with UMAP 3. Cluster with Leiden & annotate clusters based on EHR features and disease stages 4. Determine state transitions with fate mapping 5. Validate everything with statistics |
