| Proposed Analysis: | At IXICO, we are working with academic collaborators on designing prediction models of cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease. The aim of our research will be to use imaging, demographic, and clinical longitudinal data to be able to inform researchers about potential candidates in novel clinical trials. These potential candidates would be patients with MCI or cognitively normal who would decline in future years. A successful treatment would stop that declining or improve quality of life in the recruited participants. With our work, we aim to reduce the always growing cost that implies running a clinical trial in AD, with the further aim of bringing new treatments and compounds into the market for the benefit of patients. |
