Proposed Analysis: The project's main aim is to do an exploratory analysis of the progression of various blood and CSF biomarkers at different stages of Alzheimer's disease using the longitudinal data available on the ADNI website. A combination of plasma phospho-tau, amyloid-beta, and neurofilament along with other metadata of the patient (such as age, memory assessment scores, and comorbidities) might provide accurate prediction about the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease (AD) dementia. The goal is to understand the relationship between the various biomarkers and other Alzheimer-related symptoms and extrapolate valuable conclusions. The primary focus would be on blood biomarkers for this project as blood tests are less invasive and highly correlated with the CSF biomarkers. The backbone of the study will be based on the ATN framework which provides an unbiased descriptive classification for these biomarkers. Using all the analysis of various parameters and the drawn inferences, I plan to build statistical models to detect the odds of a patient leading to Alzheimer's disease in the future using the minimally invasive blood sample technique.
