Proposed Analysis: | Current MRI processing pipelines for estimating longitudinal morphological changes primarily relies on intra-subject brain to brain registration. This approach could potentially be biased due to brain atrophy then follow-up brain scans are scaled and sheared to match baseline scans. We aim to validate our method which utilize a deep learning based segmentation of the skull as reference for the intra-subject registration, since changes within the skull is limited during adulthood. This can potentially be a more sensitive approach to detect morphological changes of the brain. |
