Proposed Analysis: We are going to develop a new statistical clustering method for manifold-valued longitudinal data. It is based on k-centres functional clustering and Riemannian functional principal components. This method can be applied various Riemannian manifold-valued functional data, such as SPD(symmetric positive-definite) matrix type data. Thus for our real-data analysis, we would like to apply for SPD matrix type data which is the preprocessed DTI(diffusion tensor imaging) data. In ADNI database, there exists the braim images of the patients with and without Alzheimer's disease. We are interested in the activation of hippocampus in a brain which plays an important role in Alzheimer's disease, and we would like to analyze the patients with or without Alzheimer disease. We expect that our new statistical clustering algorithm can classify into groups with or without the Alzheimer's disease, and it can provide the accurate prediction for the new patients.
