| Proposed Analysis: | Train a deep learning model on resting-state fMRI and on structural MRI with the aim to predict the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer, MCI-AD and vascular dementia (and eventually Lewis' body dementia if suitable images are retrieved). Images could be retrieved from ADNI and EDLB. Possibly images for external validation from a third dataset. The model could be a 3D-CNN but it would be interesting to experient with different architectures and ways of pre-processing. Comparision could be made with a very similar study done on PET-CT images (https://doi.org/10.1007%2Fs00259-021-05483-0). |
