Proposed Analysis: The focus of my research is on the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques in several domains, including Astrophysics and Medicine. In particular, my idea would be exploring multimodal architectures to extract useful information from data. In addition, I am working on anomaly detection applied to images and time series, and I would like to see whether the detection of dementia can be tackled as an anomaly detection problem, and if the techniques applied to Astrophysics can also be applied to medical data. Moreover, I am working with hybrid models, which combine an analytical formulation and data to make, for example, predictions. A first goal could consist of improving the detection of dementia using automated methods. I think tackling the problem with deep learning methods could also give an insight into the way it develops in patients, and into possibilities for stopping its development.
