Proposed Analysis: The data access is requested to understand the structure-function relationships in patients with AD and to observe the strength of such relationships over time. The main objective of the study would be to longitudinally assess brain microstructure and function in patients with AD. Specifically, patients with AD would be compared to age, and gender-matched controls. Diffusion (fractional anisotropy and mean, axial, radial diffusivities) and resting-state fMRI (rs-fMRI) (functional connectivity between brain regions: at whole brain level as well as a priori defined ROIs would be the primary outcomes. Cross-sectional and longitudinal changes in white matter diffusion measures and rs-fMRI network connectivity in patients with AD relative to healthy controls will be analyzed. The significant functional and structural connectivity measures would then be correlated with clinical outcomes. This would help us understand to what extent these structural and functional changes reflect compensatory, or degenerative processes in PD. I kindly request you to grant permission to access MRI imaging and clinical scores of ADNI (longitudinal data).
