Proposed Analysis: White matter changes in the brain precede grey matter atrophy in neurological disease. This makes features obtained from diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) scans important for early detection and remediation of diseases. Although clinical studies have outlined that multiple DTI metrics are needed to capture the salience of different brain regions, previous studies have primarily used fractional anisotropy (FA) to classify diseased and healthy subjects. In order to bridge this gap, we want to combine multiple DTI metrics to improve disease classification. For this purpose, we want to access the data for patients suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment and age matched healthy controls. The proposed method may be extended to multimodal neuroimaging datasets and disease classes.
