Proposed Analysis: This project aims to develop a model to predict the conversion of subjects with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer's Disease (AD). The team will train a model to identify structural differences in the regions of interest in longitudinal MR images to predict whether someone showing cognitive impairment will eventually develop AD. The study's central aspect is that those experiencing cognitive loss, the most typical symptom of AD, can learn early on whether or not they are likely to develop the disease. This information can be helpful when new treatments for the condition are developed. The study will also try to identify other biological markers that can be used to differentiate between age-related cognitive impairment and AD.
