| Proposed Analysis: | Haplotype reconstruction of MAPT H1 subtypes for patients from the ADNI cohort. Examination of most frequent haplotypes for associations with Alzheimer's disease, comparison with data for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) from Bulgaria. Comparison of reconstructed haplotypes to such recovered from 1000 Genomes genotyping data (controls) and a small cohort of 16 centenarians. Possible studies for effect of single and multiple SNPs on age of onset (if such information is made available. My research topic is centered around modifier genes/variants on different dementia-causing diseases. I would be extremely happy to cooperate and to receive advice on my analysis.
