Proposed Analysis: Title: AD Conversion Diagnosis in ADNI Cohort Introduction: The aim of this study is to investigate the factors associated with conversion to Alzheimer's disease (AD) in the ADNI cohort. We hypothesize that certain clinical and demographic characteristics may predict conversion to AD. Data: We plan to use the clinical and cognitive data from the ADNI cohort. We will include participants who are either cognitively normal or diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) at baseline, and have at least one follow-up visit. Methods: We will use logistic regression to examine the association between various demographic and clinical factors and conversion to AD. Covariates will include age, sex, education, APOE genotype, baseline cognitive function, and neuroimaging measures. Ethical Considerations: We will follow all ethical guidelines regarding data privacy and informed consent for ADNI participants. We will ensure that all data are de-identified and stored securely to protect participants' privacy. Significance: This study will contribute to the understanding of the factors associated with conversion to AD in the ADNI cohort. The results may have implications for early detection and prevention of AD, and may inform future clinical trials targeting individuals at high risk for AD. Additionally, this study will demonstrate the potential of the ADNI database for investigating important questions in AD research.
