Proposed Analysis: Objective: To investigate the relationship between Alzheimer's disease (AD) and lung function. Hypothesis: The lung has a physiological role in clearing amyloid beta (Aβ), thus it is proposed to obtain brain and lung omics data from the ADNI database, as well as brain and lung PET-CT data from AD patients, to clarify the relationship between AD and lung function and to identify key targets for lung-mediated Aβ clearance. Specific Aim: 1.Retrieve brain and lung omics data from ADNI database. 2.Retrieve brain and lung PET-CT data from AD patients. 3.Analyze the correlation between AD and lung function using statistical methods. 4.Identify potential key targets for lung-mediated Aβ clearance through bioinformatic analysis. 5.Validate the potential targets through in vitro and in vivo experiments. Expected Results: 1.A better understanding of the relationship between AD and lung function. 2.Identification of key targets for lung-mediated Aβ clearance. 3.Potential novel therapeutic targets for AD treatment.
