Proposed Analysis: I’m studying the effect of increasing the number of images in a dataset on the model accuracy of classification. My hypothesis is that by increasing the number of images, we can expect to see increased test data classification accuracy. This would be a useful investigation, for the purpose of testing at what point in the increase of the size of the dataset that accuracy returns start to fall off. The overall question we are investigating is the above, but particularly on the accuracy of diagnosis of Alzheimer’s when using a 3D CNN on images of MRI scans of human brains. This is for an undergraduate biology class.
