Proposed Analysis: I will use this data only for academic and research purposes. I am currently doing my PhD in Biomedicine in which we already have a repository of Magnetic Resonances Images (MRI) of individuals diagnosed with Down syndrome (DS) and Euploid controls (EU). Also, we have available for this sample an Alzheimer diagnosis where the individuals were diagnosed as asymptomatic, prodromal or with Alzheimer. With the MRI we reconstruct threedimensionally the face, the upper airway passages and the brain. We use these 3D models to characterize morphologically these three anatomical regions in order to seek new non-invasive biomarkers to improve the diagnosis of Alzheimer disease (AD) in patients with Down syndrome. We are requesting access to your data because we are looking for a larger human sample of EU controls and cover an age range that we are missing also get some euploid individuals with an AD diagnosis. Thus, we can reconstruct the facial, brain and upper airway morphology to compare this new data with the data that we already have expanding our analyses. We DO NOT use personal information, all our individuals are anonymized and your data will be safe in encrypted hardrives. To sum up. Your data will be very useful and valuable for my PhD, also for this novel field of research that will improve the early detection of a concern for the healthcare called Alzheimer, allowing a better quality of life.
