Proposed Analysis: Dementia is a very common neurological disease worldwide, affecting about 5-10% of the population over the age of 65. The prevalence increases significantly with age, with an estimated 47% of the population aged 85 and over suffering from dementia. In dementia, brain cells are damaged, cognitive ability is reduced, and memory, thinking, judgment, and language skills are lost. This causes serious disruption to daily life, and if it gets worse, it becomes impossible to live without the help of family members. Families caring for dementia patients also live in pain. Looking at the dementia patients, they feel a sense of separation from the family they originally knew, and this causes a lot of mental stress. In addition to this, I feel the psychological and economic burden of having to take care of this patient. To care for someone with dementia, you have to quit your job and either provide full-time caregiver or hire a caregiver, both of which take a toll on households economically. As such, dementia is a common and dangerous disease, but it is impossible to cure it with current medical technology. Since there is no cure, prevention and periodic examination are important. If dementia is diagnosed early through periodic examinations, the progression can be delayed even if a cure is not possible. When diagnosed early, the patient as well as his or her family can prepare psychologically and economically in advance and lead a humane life for a little while longer. This study aims to find a way to detect dementia through graph deep learning.
