Proposed Analysis: The glymphatic system is a whole-brain perivascular network, which promotes CSF/interstitial fluid exchange. Alterations to this system may play a pivotal role in Aβ accumulation. However, its involvement in Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis is not fully understood. Therefore, we intend to investigate the changes in noninvasive MRI measurements (such as using perivascular space volume, index of diffusivity along the perivascular space, coupling between the global blood-oxygen-level-dependent signal and cerebrospinal fluid inflow) in patients with mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. Furthermore, we intend to investigate the associations of glymphatic MRI measures with neurocognitive score, neuropsychological score, and Aβ deposition. We aim to explore the glymphatic imaging biomarkers for early diagnosis and progression of Alzheimer's disease.
