Proposed Analysis: This proposed plan aims to explore the use of surrogate endpoints in Phase II clinical trial design to accelerate drug development timelines. We will investigate how surrogate endpoints can provide an early indication of treatment efficacy and help speed up trial progress. To predict the success probability of Phase III trials that utilize surrogate endpoints, we will establish a relationship between the surrogate endpoint and the primary endpoint using novel clinical trial designs and statistical methods. As an example of their application, we will use the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset in this study.
