Proposed Analysis: | The purpose of this analysis is for a Master Thesis research. The inspiration comes from the papers: 1) Farheen Ramzan et al(2019) A Deep Learning Approach for Automated Diagnosis and Multi-Class Classification of Alzheimer’s Disease Stages Using Resting-State fMRI and Residual Neural Networks and 2) Sarrag and Tofighi (2016) Deep Learning-based Pipeline to Recognize Alzheimer’s Disease using fMRI Data Both research papers refer to ADNI for the dataset. Initially, the research questions I am investigating are the following. a) Confirming the results of the papers and identifying the model structure b) Exploring the accuracy of different deep learning models such as Transformer models. c) Compare these models with Deep learning models used for detection of AZ using retinal photographs (Cheung et al 2022 DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/S2589-7500(22)00169-8) At this moment in order to begin my research, I will need the dataset, so I can move forward with the modelling process. I will be happy to answer further questions. Thank you for your time. |
