Principal Investigator's Name: | Hiroshi Tsugawa |
Institution: | Tokyo University Of Agriculture And Technology |
Department: | Department of Biotechnology and Life Science |
Country: | |
Proposed Analysis: | Our aim is to reanalyze untargeted metabolomics data by using the advanced computational mass spectrometry techniques to discover new metabolites (for biomarker discovery) that have previously been unknown. The metabolome data extracted is combined with other omics data sets from such as proteomics and genomics (SNPs). Using the multi-omics data, we aim not only to discover novel biomarkers for the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, but also to elucidate their biological significance. |

Investigator's Name: | Takaki Oka |
Proposed Analysis: | The purpose is the same as Hiroshi Tsugawa's application form. Under the leadership of Hiroshi Tsugawa, head of the laboratory, we will search for new biomarker candidates and their scientific value by re-analyzing ADNI data. We have already authorized access to ADNI data through a collaboration agreement with Eisai (Japan) Co. The collaboration agreement with Eisai is due to end this year. On the other hand, we are interested in research using this ADNI data and would like to continue to have access to this ADNI data even if the collaboration with Eisai ends. |
