Proposed Analysis: | Our research aims to gain a deeper understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) by exploring additional risk factors and relevant biomarkers. To achieve this goal, we plan to request access to the genetic and clinical information data from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI). ADNI is a multicenter research project that has collected a comprehensive range of neuroimaging, cognitive assessment, and biomarker data, encompassing AD patients, individuals with mild cognitive impairment, and normal controls. By analyzing the genetic and clinical information in the ADNI dataset, we aim to investigate the potential associations between genetic variants and the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Furthermore, we intend to explore other potential risk factors. This research endeavor will contribute to the improvement of early diagnosis and risk assessment of Alzheimer's disease, enabling appropriate preventive and therapeutic measures. Our findings hold the promise of providing novel insights into the pathological mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's disease, thus offering valuable guidance for future research and interventions. |
