| Proposed Analysis: | Using the ADNI database to further develop, refine and test the concept of "virtual twins", in silico Quantitative Systems Pharmacology models of individual actual patients based on their baseline characteristics to predict the (placebo) functional cognitive trajectory and compare outcomes on a per-patient basis rather than as a group average. This can be helpful for re-analyzing small clinical trials with equivocal outcomes and help reduce false negative conclusions in clinical development. We have shown that common comedications and genotype variants can substantially affect clinical outcomes, often independent of biomarker changes. |
