Proposed Analysis: | In the proposed project, we will use Neurite Orientation and Density Imaging (NODDI) to analyze diffusion data from ADNI 3. The main objective is to detect white-matter alterations at the individual level at early stages of the AD continuum. Also, through integrating multimodal imaging, fluid biomarkers, APOE ε4 status, and cognitive outcome measures, we hope to identify underlying disease pathways. This will be done through identifying homogeneous subgroups who share common disease pathways that can be extracted via a data-driven biclustering approach that simultaneously classifies a subgroup of individuals with similar patterns of imaging features and clinical characteristics. This set of features (phenotype) describes multilayer and multifactorial pathways from microstructural alterations to clinical manifestations. |
